Odeo Studio Transition Issues

06/27/2008

Hey blog readers and Odeo users, Eric from Odeo here with a quick status update on our migration.

As you can see by using the site, the migration to the new site for finding, subscribing and playing content has gone extremely well. However, a couple areas have not gone as well as we would have liked and we are working hard to get 100% of your old Odeo functions here along with the new.

We are still working on migrating the old user data and the two most popular Studio functions over to the new site. We had anticipated just running the Studio in it's old form for several weeks until the new features were ready, but complications with running the sites in parallel made it difficult and we lost the ability for Studio users to create new episodes.

We expect to have this functionality restored in just a couple more days. The "producer tools" will be integrated into the channel page of the new site and the Studio product will be retired. Again sorry for the delay, we are working hard to support those of you who use and participate in the odeo community. Please, if you have any urgent matters, just contact me directly. eric at odeo dot com

It would have been nice to know this earlier before scouring your site to figure out how to upload. Not the greatest introduction for me as a new user and techno-phobe. Perhaps a note on the first page would be a good idea...
